The school director, Angie P. Graeber, is a nationally certified reporter and holds the Certified Verbatim Reporter and Certificate of Merit designations from the National Verbatim Reporters Association. These designations are among the highest credentials a reporter can hold in the United States. Membership is maintained in the following professional associations:

National Verbatim Reporters Association (NVRA)
North Carolina Verbatim Reporters Association (NCVRA)

Ms. Graeber is a North Carolina native who attended public schools in Lenoir, graduating in 1961, and was editor of the school yearbook and member of the National Honor Society.

After graduation came marriage and two children, both of whom are now grown with families of their own. She held various positions over the years 1967 to 1981, which included ten years of legal secretarial positions. In 1979 she began training as a stenotype reporter under the tutelage of Opal Blair, a retired stenotype reporter, and in 1982 accepted a position with a free-lance Stenomask firm, making a change in reporting methods which has proven both beneficial and rewarding.

In 1983 Ms. Graeber began Charlotte Court Reporting, Inc., a free-lance reporting firm which she continues to own and manage. Since 1985 when the firm hired its first additional reporter, Ms. Graeber has conducted on-the-job training of reporters as the needs of the business dictated. She has also assisted in administering tests and workshops for the National Verbatim Reporters Association.

Ms. Graeber has served two years as president of the North Carolina Verbatim Reporters Association, one year as president of the National Verbatim Reporters Association and has served on the advisory board for both associations.

All students who complete this course will receive a certificate attesting to their completion. In addition, both a written and reporting/transcription test will be given prior to completion. Passing grades on this test are considered to be a 75 on the written portion and 95% accuracy on the reporting/transcription portion at the following speeds:
